Emotional

This is a page dedicated to all the music I have written in the “Emotional” Genre. Since this is a vague description, I am adding every work I believe to be much more light-hearted and heart-felt. This could be romantic scenes, excitement, sadness, mourning, love, and anything in between. Everything here has been written by me, and you will find a short description of the project next to the audio files.

Eat My Heart Out

Two men on the edges of society find romance in their shared doom, and fear of who they’ve become. Directed by Byrne Mazzella.

This was one of the most unique film’s I’ve had the pleasure of writing for, and it was a blast. A dark-romantic thriller, this film lead me to tapping into something romantic and emotional, while still being creepy in a subtle way. The blend of emotions was a fun challenge, and I believe I achieved it well. Written in 2024

Human Nature

A priest struggling with his faith makes rash decisions that change his life forever. Even a man devoted to a higher power cannot escape his human nature. Directed by Chris Chin.

This was my first project of 2024, and it was a really fun one. It challenged me to write music that had a religious feel. It was the first piece where I myself wrote and sang music on, which is something I rarely do as I do not claim to be a talented vocalist. Music written in 2024.

Umbra

Inspired by the game “Dark Souls 3” from FromSoftware Studios, this piece is about our character fighting to find what they lost, and the journey this fight takes them on. Umbra, meaning Shadow, is the overall feeling I think our character is running away from.

Radio Bing

To help revitalize the Mohawk language, a local reservation radio station incorporates the Mohawk language into radio bingo.

This project is especially important to me. I am a member of the Mohawk tribe, and to be a part of a story that is as impactful is incredibly humbling. This short documentary has found a lot of success in it’s festival route, including being an official selection at DOC NYC 2023. Directed by Shelby Adams.

Angels ‘n’ the Outcast

In a world where guardian angels are the norm, a young woman discovers to find herself while her angel chooses to party instead of help her. Directed by Bri Power.

This film is very minimalistic in it’s music. Most of what was included was very short chords held in the strings to add tension. The main musical highlight of this film is the title song. The main character, Kaitlyn Jackson, is an incredible singer. I had the amazing opportunity to produce a full length song that is now released on all streaming platforms titled “Cloud 9”. This was written by me, Bri Power, Brianna Lowe, and features a handful of other musicians and performers on the track. All profits from the release of this song are going straight to the “National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI)”. This music was written in 2022.

Red Winter

This is the first real horror film I composed the score for. The film tells the story of a girl who lost her friend in an accident and develops amnesia. She later goes on a vacation with her friends where she discovers a strange killer is on the loose. Directed by Lolly McLellan.

This film uses a primarily traditional orchestral instruments. Strings, low brass, percussion, piano, choir, and some added synth layers as well as self-made sound effects all come together to create a tense and sinister score with some beautiful and heartwarming elements. Music written in 2022.

Gray

Following the death of his mother, a creative but isolated boy finds a portal in his closet that leads to an uncanny meadow, home to a mysterious being who holds his most precious sketchbook captive. In the process of confronting this being, he finds the strength to open up to his widowed mother. Directed by Emily Gould.

This is the very start of it all for me; the first film I have composed music for. This theme was inspired by the beautiful music of Shape of Water. The simplistic, childlike wonder and a sense of exploration and discovery. This music was written in 2019.
